Determinanten für die Bewerberakzeptanz von KI- und algorithmusbasierten Personalauswahlverfahren
The aim of this thesis is to investigate the acceptance of artificial intelligence (AI) in the application process with the research question: Which determinants influence the acceptance of AI- and algorithm-based personnel selection procedures from the applicant's perspective? The focus of the analysis of potential determinants lies on the variables social influence, voluntariness, perceived usefulness, fairness, human contact, system performance, and timing of AI deployment. Seven hypotheses raised are analyzed quantitatively using a survey of working-age individuals. The data is collected mostly with closed questions with a five-point Likert scale and statistically evaluated to analyze correlations between determinants and acceptance. The results of the study show that, in particular, voluntariness, perceived usefulness, fairness, human contact, and timing of AI use are related to acceptance. The variables of social influence and system performance should be investigated in more depth. In addition, the variables of voluntariness, perceived usefulness, and fairness show differences between age groups, and the variable of human contact shows differences between individuals with different levels of education. The results provide insights for the design of application processes in which AI use should be incorporated. In addition, the results can be used as a basis for future research.
